Cancellation Policy

At Gabadoo, we are dedicated to providing high-quality Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy services to our clients. We understand that life can be unpredictable and circumstances may arise that require appointment rescheduling or cancellation. However, in order to maintain a well-organised and effective practice, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Appointment Cancellation: We ask that you cancel any appointment you are unable to attend at your earliest convenience.

2. Late Cancellation and No-Show: a. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the scheduled appointment will be considered a "Late Cancellation." b. If a client fails to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notification, it will be considered a "No-Show."

3. Late Cancellation and No-Show Fees: (a) For Cancellations with less than 2 hours notice, a 50% fee applies. (b) For No-Shows: A fee of 100% will be charged.

4. Fee Payment: Any fees due for Late Cancellation or No Shows will be deducted from your account or you will be invoiced for it. Any refunds due to you will be paid within 14 days.

5. Exceptions: (a) We understand that unforeseen emergencies and exceptional circumstances can arise. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the situation. (b) No fees will be charged for cancellations or rescheduling due to documented medical emergencies or other extenuating circumstances, provided proper documentation is provided.

6. Repeat Cancellations: (a) Clients who consistently exhibit a pattern of late cancellations or no-shows will not be provided with future appointments.

7. Communication: (a) Clients are encouraged to communicate any scheduling conflicts or changes as soon as they become aware of them. This helps us accommodate your needs and those of other clients effectively.

8. Rescheduling: (a) If you need to reschedule an appointment, we will make every effort to find a suitable alternative time slot that fits your schedule.

9. Practitioner Cancellations: (a) In the rare event that a practitioner needs to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we will provide you with as much notice as possible and offer alternative options.
