Our commitment to sustainability is rooted in our values and is reflected in everything we do, from our service offerings to the way we operate our business.

Sustainability is the driving force behind our work as we believe that the health of our planet is inextricably linked to the health and well-being of its people.

We create a positive social impact in local communities throughout Ireland and the UK by:

✅ Improving access to healthcare by reducing health disparities, in remote and underserved areas.

✅ Promoting healthier lifestyles by supporting individual and community well-being.

✅ Promoting health literacy and empowering people by providing educational resources and tools that help parents understand their child's health and make informed decisions.

We believe that a sustainable future is not only possible but necessary for the health and well-being of future generations and by aligning Gabadoo's goals with that of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we aim to improve Health and Wellbeing (Goal 3) and Reduce Inequalities (Goal 10) for families.

Why is Gabadoo's service beneficial?

At present access to the types of professionals we have on Gabadoo is simply not possible for most families due to the demand for services. Having access to our team can benefit children, families and communities in many ways including:

  • Improved Development: Early intervention programmes can help children develop key skills, such as language, motor skills, and social skills, more effectively. This lays the foundation for future success in school and beyond.
  • Better Health Outcomes: By addressing health and development challenges early, children are more likely to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
  • Reduced Costs: Early intervention can reduce the cost of future healthcare and educational services, as well as provide long-term benefits to society as a whole.
  • Stronger Families: Early intervention can help strengthen families and support the development of positive relationships between children and their caregivers.

Economists have calculate that for every €1 spent on early supports for children and families, it can have an economic benefit of €7. (Merrion.ie - Government News Service)

Research has been conducted in various countries around the world including Ireland, the UK and the US which has shown that the economic benefits of providing early support to families are significant and are not limited to a specific region or country.

A study conducted in the UK found that early intervention programmes for children with developmental delays led to improved outcomes, including better academic performance and reduced need for special education services. These benefits resulted in a positive return on investment, with estimated savings of up to £5 for every £1 invested in the programs.
